Verdict. On my list to trial against a real reel edit. Editing is part of the bottleneck in how I make short-form video, and a timeline Claude can operate could shorten it.

An open-source, Mac-native video editor built for AI. You can edit, organize and generate footage inside the timeline with natural-language commands. It does semantic search and automatic transcription across your media. It runs locally and connects to Claude through MCP. The tagline is “finally, a video editor built for AI.”
